Laurene Finley, Ph.D.

Senior Consultant

Laurene Finley, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist and former Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Behavioral Healthcare Education at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University where she taught for 15 years.  Currently, she is on the faculty of the Multicultural Research and Training Institute of Temple University.

Dr. Finley has been recognized as a consultant and trainer in the area of cultural competence.  She is the co-author of the curriculum, Multiculturalism in Human Services, used by Temple University School of Social Administration for over 10 years as the basis of their year-long, executive training model for human service providers and private industry personnel. Dr. Finley has provided both training and consultation to corporations, human service and culturally competent delivery systems, including: Office of mental Health and substance Abuse Services in Pennsylvania; Delaware County Children and Youth Services; Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services in Hartford, Connecticut. 

In May of 2001, Dr. Finley received special recognition from the Pennsylvania association of Psychological Rehabilitation Services for her outstanding contributions to the development of cultural competence in psychiatric rehabilitation.

Dr. Finley maintains a private practice in Center City Philadelphia and is a frequent workshop and conference contributor.
