Dr. Portia L. Hunt is the President and Founder of Eclipse Consultant Group, Inc., Nationally known as an expert in the fields of racial and ethnic identity, intercultural communication and organization development, Dr. Hunt is a valuable resource for those who seek to manage cultural issues and to create productive, high functioning organizations. Her extraordinary ability to help leaders understand complex diversity issues paved the way for her to provide guidance to dozens of business leaders through her work with the Graduate Management Admission Council, Leadership Incorporated and Leadership Washington: these organizations being dedicated to developing leadership on business and non-profit areas through their professional communities. Dr. Hunt has also consulted with numerous Fortune 500 companies, professional educators as well as senior management teams in Sales, manufacturing and the Arts. Her scope of consultation cuts across the entire spectrum of education, business and human service organizations, leading to her being recognized as a master trainer in diversity, inter-group process and team building.

Dr. Hunt has received national and international recognition as a dynamic and compelling speaker and trainer and has frequently appeared on television and radio in the Philadelphia market as well as national TV. The Philadelphia Business Journal also honored her as one of the 1995-1996's "Women to Watch" . The Urban League of Philadelphia bestowed upon her their annual "The State of Black Philadelphia Award" for outstanding achievements and contributions to the community. Her writings on the cross-cultural communication process are widely recognized. She was also a major contributor to Jan Dreaschlin's book, Diversity Leadership, which was published in 1997 by American Health Care Administration Press.

Dr. Hunt is a tenured Professor of Counseling Psychology at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Currently she serves as the Program Coordinator and Director of the Bradley Counseling Psychology Clinic. She is also a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania.
